June Wrap-up + My Outfit from Yesterday

G'day everyone!!  And happy July!  I can't believe that June is gone.  It went by so fast.  It was a good busy, month for me.

Reading; Well, I read Ender's Game, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Phantom of the Opera and The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.  I also read some of the Bible.  I'm currently working on the Old Testament.

Watching; I saw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 and to say the least, it wasn't as good as the first one. I have watched lots of other movies but I can't remember them all. ;)  One that I saw this month for the first time that I really liked was Now You See Me.  Guys, it was really well done and entertaining.  I liked it very much.  And this week we have been watching...Shark Week on TV.  It has been really interesting and fun.

What I did; Me and my family went camping to Lake Tahoe towards the beginning of the month.  Last week I went to Christian Redwood camp to help some friends with babysitting.
Then my parents surprised us this last Sunday morning with a trip to Disneyland!!!

I'm looking forward to July.  Fourth of July is in just a few days and that's always a fun holiday!  My Dad's birthday is on the 10th and my sister, Mackenzie's birthday is on the 16th.  And then drum roll...I'M TURNING 18!!!!!   So hard to believe that in a few weeks I will be considered an adult.

My lovely sister, Madison, has started a blog!!!!!!  Her blog is at Every Day Simplified.  Yesterday she took some pictures of me in my outfit so I thought I would share it with you all.

Outfit details:
Top: Forever 21
Vest: Thrifted
Scarf: From my Grammy
Pants: Thrifted
Shoes: Zulily

So here's my outfit!  All of the pictures except the first two were edited in PicMonkey for different shades of color.  The first three pictures were by me, the rest my sister did for me.

Well, I hope you all have a wonderful 4th of July.  Yah know, I've been really feeling the red, white and blue look.  As you can tell in this one. ;)  I may post a few pictures of my 4th of July outfit.  So stay tuned!  Stay cool! And eat lots of yummy food, for that is what I'll be doing! Love, Morgan

  1. Looks like you had a fun month! :D I'm having a hard time believing it's July myself. I mean, whaaaat?! Didn't MAY just start???

Lake Tahoe! I was so excited to receive your postcard from there a few weeks ago! ^_^ It looks like a positively stunning place! AND YOU WENT TO DISNEYLAND! My goodness, I just love anything Disney. <3

Ah, Fourth of July. It's one of my favorite holidays. Corn on the cob, blueberries, hotdogs, hamburgers...ahem. I kinda love the food. XD OH, OH, OH! YOUR BIRTHDAY'S COMING UP???? When is it exactly, if you don't mind my asking? (If you aren't comfortable sharing it, that's fine. I totally understand. :D) You're going to be eighteen! THAT IS AMAZING!

Oh. My. Goodness. *drools* THAT OUTFITTTT. Girl, I know I've told you this before, but I realllllly envy your fashion sense. YOU ARE SO STINKIN' STYLISH. Eek, that scarf and vest are to-die-for. (Also, love the pops of red that those shoes add! BEAUTIFUL!)

Loved reading this, Morgan! Have a wonderful Independence Day! :D

    1. This year sure is going by fast!

I am so glad you liked it, Mary! It truly is a beautiful place. I love Disney, too. Happiest Place on Earth!! :D <3

It is such a fun holiday! YES TO THE FOOD!! Yah, I really like food. <3 XD My birthday is July 29th. :D

Thank you so much, dear!! <3 Those are one of my favorite pairs of shoes. ;) Thanks again!!! <3 :D

Ahh...thank you so much, Mary!! Your comments make my day!! <3 :D I hope you have an awesome Independence Day!!! :D =D <3

  2. Hi! (I can't remember if I've commented here or not because I'm a scatterbrained squirrel sometimes)

What did you think of Ender's Game and The Boy in the Striped Pajamas? I read EG earlier this year and was pleasantly surprised at how the story drew me in. I haven't read TBitSP, but I have seen the movie and let me tell ya, my heart was wrenched.

That is an adorable outfit! For some reason, it makes me think of vintage Minnie Mouse.

HAPPY (soon to be anyways) BIRTHDAY! I'm turning 18 this year as well (we shall freak out about adulting, then eat cake).

    1. Hello, Chloe!! If you commented before, thank you!! And thank you for commenting now!! I love comments!! <3

I personally liked the movie Ender's Game better than the book. I liked that the book had more information (like all books turned into movies do:)). But I didn't like all of the language, if yah know what I mean. ;) And all the political stuff is a bit over my head. :) Other than that it was an interesting read, with a pretty good pace. Super slow books are not my favorite. ;)

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. It was a quick read, not a very long book. But tis sad. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I would eventually like to.

      Thank you so much!!

Thank you and same to you!!! (Yes, we most definitely will:))

Thank you again, Chloe!!! :D Happy Independence Day to you!!

  3. I know!! June!! Where did you go!!!

Congrats on being almost 18!! I know the feeling!!

That is a lovely outfit! I really, really like how you style your hair.

    1. Yes!! It sure flew by!!

      Thank you!!

Thank you so much, Erudessa!!! I hope you have a wonderful day!! :D

  4. Adorable outfit, Morgan!! :D And *gasp* you have a real typewriter?? Does it actually function?? I had one once, but it was in horrible condition. I don't even know what ever happened to it... ;)

    1. Thank you, Faith!! Yes, it does work. A couple of the keys stick and I need a new ribbon. But other than that, it works pretty good. :) I love typewriters! <3 =D

  5. Aaaahhh, you're so beautiful!!! And the outfit is adorable, too. I really liked the pictures of you sitting in the grass with the typewriter and the photos and such. :D

    1. Thank you so much, m'dear!!! You're so sweet! :D
